Book: Observation of Ukraine's
choice 2004

Andrzej Krajewski from Press Freedom Monitoring Centre and Jan Piekło from Bridges to the East Institute prepared a book describing the work of Polish observers of Ukrainian presidential elections in 2004. Forty one personal reports of observers from different groups - OSCE, ENEMO, Free Ukraine and others - captured emotions and facts connected with all three rounds of Ukrainian elections of 2004. Mykola Riabczuk, well known Ukrainian writer, offered a preface about significance of these elections and perspectives for Ukraine 's future.

There is also a calendar of electoral events in Ukraine from August 2004 until January 2005 inauguration of president Wiktor Juszczenko and the description of nine main characters of Ukraine 2004 elections.



The production of a book of ca 300 pages with unique, color photos will cost (editing, layout and printing of basic 2000 copies; authors resigned from their fees) about $5 000.

We are still looking for this money. Part of them may be withdrawn if the book is sold. Otherwise it may be treated as the best promotion tool for idea of international observation of elections. If you want to help or knows somebody who does, please let me know.
