. WHO AM I
I am a freelance journalist living in Poland, but in the past also working for seven years in U.S. I have many years of experience of writing and editing for Polish newspapers, weeklies and monthlies, both in Warsaw and New York.
I was also working for Polish TV and radio as their correspondent in Washington , D.C.
I published few books - in communist Poland , but not censored, and in ANEKS publishing house in London .
They were about society and politics of Poland in 1982-1986 ("Cicerone"), interviews with Solidarity émigrés from U.S. ("Region USA "), story of col. Kuklinski, Polish officer, who secretly worked for CIA in the '70s ("Zasluga dla Polski").
For the last couple of years my main theme was media, their role in society, journalists' ethics and rights, including social ones, but I also follow current politics, economy and other spheres of life. My English serves me well enough to talk, read and write in it; recently also my Russian has been revitalized after many years of abandonment.
I decided to start this personal website to let others know what I think, how I write, what can I offer you. It is mainly run in Polish, but I'll try to fill it with some English texts too, to make it available for more people wandering on the Net. |
